Executive Chef Dan Martin knew he wanted to be a chef when he was eight years old. He started pursuing his career while living in Tehran, Iran in the 1970’s. After living through the fall of the Shah in 1979 Chef Dan returned to the United States and jumped feet first into the food service and restaurant industry. After an eventful apprenticeship at the Five Star Chateau Pyrenees in Denver, CO Chef Dan worked in a number of restaurants as a Sous Chef before becoming and Executive Chef with Hilton Hotels at the age of twenty four. From the Hilton Chef Dan’s career has been diverse and expansive from high volume upscale independent restaurants, owning and operating his own restaurants and consulting firm to working in private clubs. Chef Dan has been on the Sedona Restaurant scene since 2001. For the past five years Chef Dan has been the Executive Chef Food & Beverage director of Sedona's Seven Canyons Private Golf and Residence Club and for the last 2 yrs owner and Chef of one of Sedona's best Restaurants.
